Surgery
If you are undergoing any type of surgery on your breasts, then it is vital that your upper body gets the right support as you recover.
As you recuperate from any breast surgery, it is important that the bra you wear does not move across the body and rub on healing skin. Any rubbing on incisions or scars will increase your recovery time.
Your Optifit™ bra will fit you perfectly and hold your breasts securely, minimising any discomfort following surgery, for instance from bruising.
Breast Augmentation
After breast augmentation, an Optifit™ bra is essential to aid recovery. It will hold your breast in its optimum position without displacing or distorting the breast tissue. This will give stability as your breast adapts to the implant, and in doing so, will also minimise the risk of implant rotation (A very common problem).
Mastectomy
We recommend your Optifit™ bra is fitted 4–6 weeks prior to surgery in order that your body adapts to the postural changes. After surgery, your prosthesis will fit perfectly into your Optifit™ bra.
Breast Reduction
Research evidence shows that the pain and discomfort usually attributed to the weight of larger breasts, may actually be mechanically induced by the type of bra being worn.
Optifit™ has been shown to relieve these symptoms. You may not need a breast reduction, however, if you do decide that surgery is your best option, do consider wearing an Optifit™ bra as you recuperate.
